Headlight Restoration
Yellowed, hazy lenses sanded back to clear and re-sealed with UV coating — a night-driving safety fix that also looks like a new car.

- $89
What this is
Headlight lenses are polycarbonate with a factory UV coating. Sun destroys that coating, the plastic underneath oxidizes, and the lens goes yellow and cloudy. It is not dirt and it does not clean off.
The measurable part is light output: a badly hazed lens can scatter most of the beam that should be reaching the road. It is one of the few cosmetic services that is genuinely a safety repair.
Wet-sanding through progressive grits removes the dead layer, polishing brings back optical clarity, and a fresh UV sealant is what stops it happening again in six months — which is exactly the step the drugstore kits leave out.
Book this if
- Your headlights look yellow or milky
- Night driving has quietly gotten harder
- The car is otherwise clean but looks old from the front
- You have an inspection coming up
- Masking of surrounding paint and trim
- Progressive wet-sanding to remove oxidation
- Machine polish back to optical clarity
- UV-stable clear sealant applied and cured
- Both headlights — fog lights quoted as an add-on
Worth adding
Cheaper bundled onto this job than booked separately — we are already there with the tools out.
Headlight Restoration
How long does it last?
Two to four years with a proper UV sealant, which is the whole difference between this and a $20 kit that hazes again by autumn.
What if the lens is cracked or has moisture inside?
Restoration is a surface process — it cannot fix a crack or a failed seal letting water in. Those need a replacement housing, and we will tell you before charging you.
