It started with one filthy Subaru and a few days of elbow grease, and the thing that hooked me was the transformation — the moment a car stops looking cleaned and starts looking new. That is still the whole job.

How it started

A 2009
Impreza

The first car I detailed was my first car — a 2009 Subaru Impreza. Awesome little car, and I got it for a good deal. The reason it was such a good deal was that it was disgusting.

I am talking covered in dog hair, stale smoke in everything, and a stain in the back seat that I still do not want to think about. I could see the potential, though. I knew the only thing standing between me and a car that looked fresh off the lot was some time and some elbow grease.

So I watched video after video on how to clean a car properly — the seats, the windshield, the engine bay. I worked my way through it over a few days, and I fell in love with the transformation.

My dad did not think it was possible to get the smoke out of the air in that car. Then I showed him the finished thing.

Now I am here to prove it to you too.

Four things we will not trade away for a faster turnaround.

Quote first, always

If your car needs more than the starting price covers, you hear the number before we start. Nobody should discover the cost of pet hair removal on the invoice.

Say when it will not work

Some stains are permanent, some smells are structural, some scratches need paint. Telling you that costs us a job today and keeps you as a customer for years.

Time over speed

A detail done in half the time is a detail done half as well. We would rather take an extra hour than hand back damp carpet and clean-looking dirt.

The right method, not the fast one

Two-bucket hand washes, extraction rather than surface scrubbing, product on the applicator rather than sprayed at perforated leather. It is slower and it is why the results last.

Where we are

Ashland, Missouri

We are based in Ashland, which puts us fifteen minutes from Columbia and twenty from Jefferson City — close enough to reach most of mid-Missouri inside half an hour, far enough that we are not charging city rates for it.

Most weeks the van is out in Columbia, Jefferson City, Hartsburg and Ashland.
